2023 15U & 17U Westerns Team Sask Selections

Water Polo Saskatchewan is pleased to announce the Team Sask rosters that will compete at the 2023 NCL 15U Western Championships & 17U Western Championships.

Since September, our WPS coaching staff has been evaluating all competitive provincial athletes through club visits, provincial training centres (DC, HC, HSE), provincial competitions (CL, PEL and Provincials), and Alberta Open 2023.

The NCL Western Finals are highly competitive events. Athletes/parents should expect coaches to approach this event with a performance mindset in which playing time will not be based on an equal time policy. Our coaches will manage their rosters to get their team to perform at the highest level possible and achieve the best ranking at this event.

Making a selection of 12 athletes per team was a challenging task due to the growing pool of athletes we have seen this last couple of years and the high level of play we observed all year long. We know some will be disappointed not to be selected. WPS would like to remind athletes and parents that making a selection is like taking a picture of athletes in the middle of a marathon race: the ranking is only accurate for this instant, and no one can say what it will be later.

Selected athletes will receive an information package for these events in the next few days.
