One week after

Lawson Aquatic Centre in Regina for the second Day of the Provincial League Open

Weyburn/Estevan, Regina 18U and Regina Sr were them present and proposed a great
games to the public seated in the stands.
Weyburn/Estevan after a difficult 1st Day raised their level to tie both of
their opponents. And Regina Sr had some troubles vs. Regina 18U even though they

held in the brand new Shaw Aquatic Entre in Saskatoon!
Game 1: RWPA Sr 3 /10 RWPA 18U - (1/1, 2/0, 0/4, 0/5)
If we thought the ‘Old Ladies’ would control the game at half time leading 3/1, The young girls from Regina surprised everybody raising their intensity in offense, playing faster and stronger, and suffocated their opponent winning 9/0 in the second half. The public noticed the performance of Abby Fries who scored 3 goals for Regina 18U when she is only 13 years old!
Game 2: Weyburn/Estevan 5/5 RWPA Sr - (1/0, 1/4, 0/0, 3/1)
Some ‘old stars’ came back to give a hand to all the ‘future stars’ of this very young team Weyburn/Estevan, and the result was an impressive tie game against Regina Sr. The public was very pleased of the performance athletes gave them in the pool with a continual cross over between the 2 teams leading the score alternatively. Azur Benesh kept RWPA Sr in the game in the first half when Sydney Huebner scored an amazing goal long side hurting the post before hitting the nets. Weyburn was close to get their first win of the year if Megan Sutter by her perseverance hadn’t decided one other end for her team scoring at 1’25 from the end of the game. Good Job Ladies!
Game 3: Weyburn/Estevan 4/4 RWPA 18U
Lucky was the public this Sunday as the 2 teams gave
again a great show in the pool. The tie earned this time by Weyburn/Estevan in
the 3rd quarter after that Taylor Molde with a powerful shot from position 2
scored over the head of a nevertheless excellent Sidney Cyca, brought the first
points earned by the southern girls against Regina 18U.
